Repost

(pictures of these quilt are made in 2008)

A few days ago I received an email from Penny. She asked me about a quilt she remembered from my first blog.  I made this quilt years ago. Actually it was in 2008! (time flies..)  Well here you go Penny.
I was inspired by the quilt Potluck from the book Save the Scraps by Gayle Bong.
This is my version. I used leftover triangles for the top and the bottom and for the backing. I enjoyed making this quilt very much.  I re- calculated my blocks from inch to cm. But I think they are almost the same size as the blocks in the book.  I hope these pictures helps you to make your version with your friend.

ps.  I'm happy that the big tits are making their nest in my garden again.
 It's spring!

Zo zie je maar Lucy, jouw quilts zitten na jaren nog steeds in het quiltersbrein opgeslagen! Ik herinner me deze quilt ook nog goed. Leuk dat er plots weer een vraag over kwam.

I like the picture of the quilt on the bicycle cart.

I love this quilt- the blue-gray color makes such a nice background to let your blocks sing! I also like how your border is red- it reminds me to think outside of the box because I would have thought I needed to put a darker blue or gray border- yours is perfect. Isn't it great to use leftover pieces on the back- adds to the charm. This is the first year that I have put bird feeders in my yard. What a joy! Happy spring and happy stitching,
Lona
