Doll quilt

Inspired by this antique doll quilt I sewed a little doll quilt for my friend Kathie

It wasn't my attention to copy exactly the original. It was the same feel I was looking for.

Ready to baste.
( the red fabric is in person more a dark pink like the second picture.)

Nice snips...

Finished!

Kathie has already received this mini. It took a week to travel over the pond to her.

I love this little quilt! Love check fabrics (oh, why can't the - Dutch- quiltshops not stock more of these fabrics....) and love the role the red and lighter fabrics play in this quilt. A wonderful gift to treasure.

Leuk geworden. Ik hou erg van willekeurig geplaatste blokjes (tenminste ze lijken willekeurig geplaatst). Blijf interressant om naar te kijken dan vind je niet? Mooie kleur licht op je foto's.
Super cadeautje.
Groetjes
