Iceland II

I went to the Skogar museum.
It shows how people lived in Iceland years ago.
There are moss/turf houses and there is the first timber house built from driftwood.

I love the folkart designs in the crafts. They knitted their shoe soles .

The mittens are an inspiration to me. Just simply beautiful.

And o ooo, the color blue is everywhere, on the walls, furniture....
I have something with this fresh color blue. The color of the sky.

My kitchen at home is almost the same color as the kitchen in the museum :-)

Knitted  shoe soles.

Mittens.

I took these treasures home with me.
The little horse reminds me to the horseback riding we did.
It was a highlight of our trip to galop on an icelandic horse in such a beautiful scenery.

Iceland

My youngest daughter and I went together to Iceland.

How do I love this country.
It is
B R E A T H T A K I N G

We visited South East Iceland. Some day I will come back one day to visit north Iceland too.
With the following  pictures I hope to give you a little impression of this country.
