Fabric postcard

A little while ago I made a fabric postcard inspired by the style of Janet Bolton.
The heart shapes rocks are found in Normandy, France. I have a little collection of heart shape rocks.
It's always a little gift of nature when I find one.

Friends and gifts

Two Instagram friends were so kind to send me "le petit Prince"  in their language to me.

Thank you Kristine for the librarian Norwegian edition
And Trini for the Galician edition

My sister in law bought the Turkish edition for me on her holliday.

I'm so happy with each one of them.

Trini is very talented and she made an adorable pincushion for me.  I will use it next to my sewing machine. Thank you so much Trini for this special gift.

I knitted these bunny's in return as a gift. They are very addictive to knit. Especially the little dresses. The pattern is from Little cotton rabbits.
The only modification I made was to knit the body in the round.

 These bunny's found a new home :-)

and I should be working more on this one....  then I can say: 'It is finished'

Le petit Prince

A few weeks ago I posted a picture and a little text from the book"Le petit Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry on instagram.

Hélène told me about a limited edition in a dialect where she lives;
 Switzerland, Canton Fribourg.

'Le Piti Prinhyo'

It is printed in only 2500 copies.
Wow
It would be wonderful if I could add this book to my collection....

She was kind enough to send me a copy and in return I am going to sew a doll quilt for her.

When I was searching for a background I wanted to choose something soft and fresh.

I chose a golden yellow. Like The little Prince his hair.

“You see the wheat fields over there? I don't eat bread. For me, wheat is of no use whatever. Wheat fields say nothing to me. Which is sad. But you have hair the color of gold. So it will be wonderful, once you've tamed me! The wheat, which is golden, will remind me of you. And I'll love the sound of the wind in the wheat...”

'Le Piti Prinhyo'

It is a lovely idea that as soon as I finish this mini quilt it will travel to Switzerland.

Thank you so much Hélène

Kilim Mittens

Recently, I fell in love with this pattern: Kilim Mittens by Carol Sunday
I had to knit them.
My first pair was a bit too small. (needle size 2,25mm)
I knitted my second pair with a bigger size needle (2,75mm)
They fit perfectly.

I used leftover over yarn. Mostly J.C. Rennie Supersoft but also Holst Garn Supersoft.

It was a pleasure to knit them. I enjoyed every single stitch.

Still quilting. Hope to finish this one soon.
