V-stitch blanket, finish

A few weeks ago I finished this V-stitch blanket. From the first stitch to the last one it was  such a pleasure to make.  It took me  just one month to finish!

I mostly used merino yarn. It is soft, warm and nice to work with.

My DD2 loves it.

These dolls and bunny are sleeping with her since I made them for her about 21 years ago. Time flies.

Pattern:      V-stitch
Yarn:          Drops merino extra fine, Katia Basic, Katia 100% merino, Rico essentials, Lana grossa
                   cool wool, Annell Malmedy
Hook size: 4mm

Beautiful, I am sure it will be cherished for as long as the dolls and bunny!

Another beautiful crochet project! I love hearing your stories about how your children request special things made just for them.
I am absolutely inspired by your different color combination~everything you make helps me to look at color and design with a new perspective.

I would like to ask your advice, if I may. I have never knitted or crocheted before, but I am a quilter. I would love to learn to crochet so that I can use wonderful wools, have a new skill to stretch my brain and make lovely, cozy things like yours. What would you recommend as a beginner project? I might have to learn from online lessons because I work many late days, (and I am left handed). What should I look for in lessons or a book for beginner skills? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you always for sharing your art, ideas, inspirations and of course, your beautiful photography and thoughtful commentary.
Best wishes,
Barbara

Schitterende sprei Lucy!

Heel lief.
Ik wens je een heerlijke dag,
liefs,
Mirjam
