Red fox and a finished quilt

A finish!
I started this quilt back in 2008.
It was a long time an UFO.
I was inspired by a quilt in the book Passing on the Comfort by Ann Keuning-Tichelaar
I made a calculate mistake for the blocks. So they became big... very big. Anyway I like it.
It reminds me to a quilt on a farm or in a house in the Big Woods of Laura Ingalls.
This quilt will be used on our bed.

Today I went to the dunes for a nice picture of the quilt and then this fox came along.
It was an amazing meeting :-)

Lucy, this is a gorgeous quilt! The big blocks look wonderful, and you have taken such exquisite photographs of the quilt! Love the other beautiful photographs too, including the red fox.

liefs,
Mirjam

Thank you for sharing beautiful photos of your wonderful quilt! Thank you also for the link to your inspiration book~I ordered it so I could read the women's stories as well as to enjoy their quilts. You found a perfect location for your quilt and then the fox found you! (I wonder what he was thinking?). I always love seeing your photographs; whether out in your neighborhood, nearby cities or in the lovely natural surroundings where you bike or hike your creativity and artistic viewpoint come shining through.
Best wishes from,
Barbara in California
P.S.i especially love your photographs in your home ,garden and with family,(including the cutest guinea pigs ever).

I don't usually comment but, oh wow, that quilt is so pretty. And the amount of work and hours you must have put into it...well congratulations, it's beautiful!

Wat en pracht quilt! Heel erg mooi!

The Laura Ingalls look is such a good description for the log cabin quilt. I do like log cabin quilts.....especially those with an old look.
