Mittens for Suzan

A friend of DD3 is in love with the mittens I knit.
My daughter asked me if I could knit her a pair as a surprise.
Of course.
Yesterday it was a rainy Sunday perfect to unwind on the couch with yarn and needles.
I grabbed some leftovers in her colors.
Today DD3 will give them when she met her at school.

Wat een prachtig paar handschoenen heb je voor dat meisje gemaakt. Wat zal ze daar blij mee zijn! Je hebt er ook weer zo leuke foto's van gemaakt. Super leuke kalender ook!!

No wonder DD3's friend loves them. They are very beautiful. I wish I could change colors when knitting and do something like that myself. My knowledge of knitting is very basic, but hopefully in a while I will be able to do something like your mittens. Keep my fingers crossed.

Best regards,
Ana

What a beautiful day's work~and an amazing accomplishment in just one day! I am imagining how very excited DD3 was as she walked to school with surprise for her dear friend. She must have been bubbling over with her joy.
Oh, the joy you gave to both of those girls with your love and kindness. I think we might all feel that those friends who care for our children are so dear to us as well, for they love our children and bring them into their lives and hold them safely in their hearts.
