Nestling


I placed these threads from my knitting project random 
in my garden for the birds who are busy with building their nests.


As you can see this big tit appreciates them very much. It is so fun to watch him busy. 


What a colorful nest she is going to have.

Wat leuk dat het bij jou lukt! Ik had het vorig jaar ook gedaan in zo'n noten dispenser met gaatjes, maar ze waren er niet zo van gecharmeerd.
Ik ga het nog eens proberen.
Leuke foto's en het wordt een kleurrijk nest zo te zien.

Ik kan het hier ook ieder jaar volgen vanuit m'n keukenraam, het nesten bouwen. Niet te snappen hoe ze zo'n perfect nest kunnen maken. Heel fascinerend om te zien. Echt grappig om te zien dat ze zelfs jouw wollige draadjes kunnen gebruiken! Fijn weekend!

How lucky you are that you can see the birds actually using the wool. I've set things out before but have never had the opportunity to see where they were used. Reminds me of "Sarah, Plain and Tall" where she throws her hair trimmings to the wind for nesting material.
